BOOK FAIR/PLEDGE CAMPAIGN UPDATEThank you to everyone who participated in Wayne Christian's Library Pledge Campaign and book fair. The Library Pledge Campaign received $2,360.00 in donations. Of this amount, $590.00 was designated for student Book Buck Certificates, while the remaining $1,770.00 went into the library budget. The Book Fair generated $4,721.25 in sales. From this amount, the WCS library received $591.00 in free books, and $1,125.55 in cash. Funds from the Pledge Campaign and book fair will be used to purchase new books and AR quizzes. There were five winners in the guessing games. The number of mints and Tootsie Rolls in the large jar was 309. A student in sixth grade guessed 310 and took home the jar of candy.
There were 171 items in the candy and hair accessories' jar, and 177 items in the car and candy jar. Four students shared the contents of the two jars.
Mrs. Susan Ford won the book-voucher drawing during Teacher Preview Day, but graciously donated it to the WCS library. Way to go, Mrs. Ford.
